Vastu Shastra
I view Vastu Shastra not as mere superstition, but as the “yoga of architecture”—a profound science of aligning human dwellings with the fundamental energies of the cosmos. It works on the same principle as astrology: creating harmony between the individual (microcosm) and the universe (macrocosm).
A Vastu analysis aims to balance the five elements (Panchabhootas – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space) in your space to promote health, prosperity, and peace. The Framework of a Professional Vastu Analysis
A proper analysis is a detailed process that examines the flow of energy in your space. To provide you with a meaningful remote analysis, I would require the following:
The Essential Documents:
Accurate Floor Plan: A scale drawing of your home or office, including the location of rooms, doors, windows, stairs, and toilets.
Directional North: This is the most critical piece of information. The floor plan must be marked with the true north direction (as from a compass), not the magnetic north from a phone app if possible. The entire analysis is based on this orientation.
Site Plan (if possible): The location of the plot relative to the surrounding roads, structures, and water bodies.
Key Information:
Date of Construction of the building.
Main Entrance Door: The exact location and the direction it faces.
Function of the Space: Is this a home, a business, or both? Who occupies which room (e.g., head of household, children)?
A Preview of a Vastu Analysis: The Key Areas of Focus.
Here are the primary zones and their governing energies that I analyze. Imbalances in these areas manifest as specific challenges in life.
1. The Five Elements & Their Directions
North-East (Ishanya) – Governed by WATER:
Ideal For: Prayer room, water source, study, open space.
Imbalance (e.g., toilet, kitchen, heavy furniture): Can block spiritual growth, cause mental stress, and hinder inflow of opportunities.
South-East (Agneya) – Governed by FIRE:
Ideal For: Kitchen, electrical panels, geyser.
Imbalance (e.g., prayer room, water element): Can lead to financial disputes, health issues (especially inflammation), and legal problems.
North-West (Vayavya) – Governed by AIR:
Ideal For: Guest bedroom, children’s bedroom, storage.
Imbalance (e.g., main entrance, kitchen): Can create instability in relationships, cause unnecessary travel, and invite unwanted guests.
South-West (Nairutya) – Governed by EARTH:
Ideal For: Master bedroom, safe, heavy furniture. This should be the heaviest, most grounded part of the house.
Imbalance (e.g., toilet, empty space, main entrance): Can weaken the authority of the head of the family, lead to laziness, and cause financial drain.
Center (Brahmasthan) – Governed by SPACE:
Ideal For: Should be an open, clean, and light area. Often a central courtyard or open lobby.
Imbalance (e.g., toilet, kitchen, pillar, staircase): Considered the most serious flaw, it can disrupt the energy flow for the entire property, leading to health and financial issues for all residents.
2. The Main Entrance (Mukhya Dwar)
The entrance is the “mouth” of the Vastu Purusha (the energy body of the building), where energy enters.
Ideal Locations: North, East, or North-East are generally most auspicious.
Analysis: I check for obstructions, the direction it opens, and what lies directly opposite it.
3. Room-Specific Analysis
Master Bedroom (South-West): Should promote rest and stability. The position of the bed is critical.
Kitchen (South-East): The placement of the stove (fire element) and sink (water element) must be harmonious.
Pooja Room (North-East): The most spiritually pure zone must be placed correctly and kept impeccably clean.
Toilets: Their placement is crucial; they should never be in the North-East, center, or under a staircase.
How to Proceed with Your Vastu Analysis Please provide the floor plan with directional North and the other requested information. Once I receive it, I will provide a detailed report covering:
1. Overall Energy Map:
An assessment of the property’s strengths and weaknesses.
2. Room-by-Room Analysis:
Specific recommendations for each major room.
3. Remedial Measures (Vastu Dosha Nivaran):
Practical, non-demolition solutions to correct imbalances. These can include the use of specific colors, elements, mirrors, pyramids, and yantras.
4. Synthesis with Astrological Energies (if birth data is available):
Recommending the most auspicious directions for you personally based on your natal chart.
